Dr. Cassidy Nugent is originally from Michigan, where she grew up in the standardbred horse racing industry with her family. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Toledo in 2018 and completed her veterinary degree at The Ohio State University in 2022. 

Following graduation, she completed a one-year hospital internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington and is currently pursuing an equine surgery residency. Dr. Nugent has a special interest in emergency and critical care.
