THERIOGENOLOGY ASSISTANT

The therio assistant will work along side our theriogenologists and help with advanced reproduction procedures.  The assistant will help with daily laboratory responsibilities in our fast-paced reproduction department. This position is set in a team environment. It is a requirement to help others when available, including the Reproduction Center.

Primary Duties

• Procedure set for stallions and mares

• Semen processing

• Client communication

• Manage daily schedule of appointments

• Prepare shipments and semen storage

• Work with the manager and team at the reproduction center

• Learn lab techniques

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED equivalent

• Minimum of one-year of hands-on equine handling experience

• Current driver’s license

Skills Preffered

• Communication competence is a must

• Customer service

• Attention to detail

• Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)

Schedule

• Day shift with a set start time but requires an open-end time.

• Full-time

• Includes weekends (not a must)

• Some overtime required
