OVERNIGHT NURSING/RECEPTION POSITION

Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital is seeking a motivated and dependable individual for an Overnight Nursing/Reception position. This role combines client communication, front desk responsibilities, and equine patient support in a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates should be professional, organized, and comfortable working overnight hours while providing exceptional service to clients and hospital staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner

• Assist with equine patient admissions and discharges

• Provide excellent client service and communication

• Support hospital nursing and reception operations overnight

• Maintain accurate and organized patient and client information

• Assist with general front desk and administrative duties

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital setting while multitasking effectively

Requirements

• Previous equine experience and equine handling skills required

• Strong verbal communication skills and professional phone manner

• Experience in client service or front desk roles preferred, ideally in a veterinary or medical setting

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to learn and retain information quickly

• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently overnight

• Ability to work overnight or variable shifts

Schedule

• Schedule will vary between:

• 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM

• 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Three to four shifts per week
