Dr. Colton Thacker grew up in West Bountiful, UT riding quarter horses and rodeoing at the age of eight. That passion continued on through high school and college eventually leading him to the Kentucky bluegrass. 

Dr. Thacker attended Utah State University and graduated from Washington State School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Upon graduation from veterinary school he completed an ambulatory internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital.

Following his internship, Dr. Thacker underwent a one-year imaging fellowship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital where he developed additional skills, primarily ultrasonography and radiographic interpretation. His areas of interest include lameness, diagnostic imaging and sales work.

In his free time, he and his wife, Jenna, are dedicated members of their church and own a small farm in Georgetown, KY where he rides and trains his roping quarter horses.
