Dr. Sarah Thomas is originally from Ohio and spent years riding dressage and jumpers. She attended the University of Findlay for her undergraduate work, followed by the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completing her veterinary degree, she performed a rotating internship at BW Furlong & Associates in Oldwick, NJ, followed by a medicine fellowship and internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington.

After completing a three-year large animal medicine residency at Texas A&M, she worked for a year doing large animal emergency medicine at Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine before transitioning to the medicine team at Saratoga.
